Design Automation with AI

Introduction
Personalised gifting has traditionally relied on designers translating a client’s idea into packaging artwork. For brands handling corporate gifting programs or large event orders, this process quickly becomes slow and operationally heavy. Each design requires multiple revisions, client approvals, and manual adjustments before it can move into production.
The objective of this project was to redesign that workflow entirely. Instead of relying on designers to produce every sleeve manually, the new platform needed to allow customers to generate bespoke packaging themselves while ensuring the output remained visually consistent, production-ready, and aligned with the brand’s premium aesthetic.
Client & Project Background
Stories in Chocolate specializes in premium chocolate gifting for weddings, corporate programs, and large-scale events. Many customers order customised chocolate boxes where the packaging itself becomes part of the celebration or brand message.
As demand for personalized gifting increased, the design process behind each order began to create operational friction. Every customised sleeve required designer involvement, artwork revisions, and approval cycles before production could begin.
The business needed a product experience that could translate its bespoke gifting capability into a scalable digital platform while preserving the luxury presentation that defines the brand.
Challenge
The challenge was not simply to build a design tool. The experience needed to guide non-designers through the creative process while ensuring that every generated sleeve remained print-ready and visually consistent.
Customers ordering customised chocolate gifts often struggled to articulate visual preferences clearly. Requests frequently relied on abstract descriptions such as mood, color themes, or event inspiration, which resulted in multiple design revisions.
At the same time, every design had to fit a precise packaging template with defined bleed margins and layout constraints. The system therefore needed to balance creative flexibility with strict production rules required for physical packaging.
Solution
Bevy One designed the platform as an AI-first product rather than a conventional ecommerce experience. The objective was to replace manual packaging design workflows with an intelligent system capable of generating bespoke artwork instantly while maintaining brand consistency and production accuracy.
The platform uses AI as the core engine of the experience. Every customer interaction feeds structured inputs into the system, which then generates packaging artwork, product visualizations, and personalized gift messages, allowing each order to produce a unique result without requiring designer involvement.
AI-Guided Creation Experience
At the center of the platform is a 7-step flow designed not as a form, but as an input layer for the AI system. Each step captures structured preferences that inform how the final packaging is generated.
Customers begin by selecting the occasion and product before defining visual preferences such as color palettes and aesthetic styles. These inputs are not simply selections, but signals that guide the AI in producing contextually relevant designs.
This transforms the experience from a design interface into a guided generation system where users are effectively directing the outcome rather than manually creating it.
AI Design Generation Engine
The platform uses a coordinated multi-model AI pipeline that replaces the creative workflow traditionally handled by designers. One model generates sleeve artwork concepts based on customer inputs, while another produces photorealistic 3D renderings of the chocolate box with the sleeve applied.
This allows the system to not only generate designs but also present them in a production context. Customers can immediately see how their personalized packaging will appear in real life, eliminating uncertainty before placing an order.
Production Guardrails
Packaging design requires precision. Every artwork must respect margins, bleed areas, and layout boundaries to ensure it prints correctly. To maintain this accuracy, Bevy One implemented a structured template system that constrains AI outputs within predefined safe zones. This ensures that every generated design is automatically production-ready without requiring manual adjustment.
Administrative controls also allow the brand to define color palettes and typography rules, ensuring all outputs remain aligned with the brand’s visual identity.
Integrated Commerce
Once a design is generated, customers move directly into checkout without leaving the experience. Product variants, pricing, and order details are synchronized with the commerce system so the personalized sleeve becomes part of the order record.
Each design is stored alongside the order, allowing the generated artwork to move directly into production once the purchase is confirmed.
